Tho Saddling Bell will ring at 11.30 each day, and the first race start at 12 o'clock. The time for starting each event will be duly posted on tho couwo after each preceding raco. Ho person will be allowed to enter a horse for any raco (hack raws uxoeptbd) unless he be a subscriber of at least £1 to the race fund. Threo entries or the public money will bo Tithheld. No scratching of horses allowed, unless tough the secretary, and fifteen minutes jefore the time of starting. The starter has the power to place fractious or kicking horses, or disobodient jockeys in any position ho thinks necessary to securo a fair start, All entries to bo made in writing, eealcd and addressed to the secretary, entrance monoy enclosed, with name, age at time of entry, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. In all nominations for handicaps tho previous performances are to bo given, All jockeys to ride in proper racing cm-tum-i, and any jockey riding except in colors entered will ho fined 2 sovs. No entry will be accepted unloss acjo m panied with the amount of entranco inonoy Nor will any entry bo received after the hour named under any pretence whatever, No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition : That all disputes and objections aiising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or thoso whom thoy may appoint. Their decision upon nil points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall bo final. In case of a protest, the samo must bo lodged with tho secretary within fifteen minutes after the raco is' run, with a deposit of £'2, such deposit to bo forfeited if the protest bo found trivial or vexatious. All dislrict races District Hurdles included, arc open only to horses within the boundary of the Taueru river, Hat Point, and Waiaata streams, and owuod by bona fido residents for three months previous to tho tUlb of theso races. Nominations for handicaps, general entries, and acceptances will be recoiYed by the secretary at tho Tinui Hotel on the following dates:—Nominations for all handicap races at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19th; Weights declared (excopt for Forced Handicap) at the Club Hotel, Masterton, on Saturday. February 23rd, at 9.30 p.m., and published on Monday, February 25th. Acceptances and general ontrios close on FRIDAY, 29th February, at 7 p.m. Weights for Forced Handicap declared on course after District Handicap is run. A penalty of 71bs to be carried by the winner of auy Maiden Plate after entry for theso races. No entry will be received aftor hours and dates mentioned oither by letter or telegram.
