To to run under the Wairarapa Jockey Club Rules, Tho Saddling Bell will ring at 11,30 each day, and tho first race start at 12 o'clock. The time for starting each event will be duly posted on the course after each preceding race. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race (hack races excepted) unless he be a subscriber of at least £1 to the raco fund. Three entries or tho public monoy will bo 'vithheld. No scratching of horses allowed, uuloss through the secretary, and fifteen minutes before the time of starting. The starter has tho power to place fractious or kicking horses, or disobedient jockeys in any position ho thinks necessary to eocuro a fair atart, All entries to be made in writing, sealed and addressed to the secretary, ontrance money enclosed, with name, ago at timo of entry, and pedigree of tho horse, name of the owner, and colors of tho rider. In all nominations for handicaps the previous performances ate to be given. All jockeys to ride in proper racing costume, and any jookey riding except in colors entored will bo fined 2 sovs. No entry will be accepted unless acco m panied with the amount of ontrance money Nor will any entry .be received after the hour named under any pretence whatevor, No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition: That all disputes and objections aiising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or thoso whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programmo shall bo final. In case of a protest, tho same must be lodged with the secretary within fifteen minutes after tho raco is run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to bo forfeited if the protest be found trivial or vexatious. All district race 3 District Hurdles included, are opon only to horses within the boundary of the Taueru river, I'lat Point, and Waiaiata streams, and owned by bona fide residents for thrco months previous to the datb of these races. Nominations for haudicaps, general entries, and acceptances will do received by tho secretary at tho Tinui Hotel on the following dates:—Nominations for all handicap races at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19th j Weights declared (eicept for Forced Handicap) at the Club Hotel, Masterton, on Saturday. February 23rd, at 9.30 p.m., and published ou Monday, February 25th. Acceptances and general entries close on FRIDAY, 29th February, at 7 p.m. Weights for Forced Handicap declared on course after District Handicap is run.
