To be rim under tho Wairarapa Jockey Club Rules, The Saddling Eell will ring at 11.30 each day, and the first race start at 12 o'clock. The time for starting each event will be duly posted on tho courso after each preceding race. No person will he allowed to enter a horse for any race (hack races excepted) unless ho be a subscriber of at least £1 to the race fund. Three entries or tho public monoy will be withheld. No scratching of horses allowed, nuless through the secretary, and fifteen minutes before the timo of starting. The starter has the power to placo fractious or kicking horses, or disobedient jockeys in any position ho thinks necessary to securo a fair start, All entries to bo made in writing, sealed and addressed to the secretary, entrance' monoy enclosed, with name, age at timo of entry, and pedigree of tho horso, namo of the owner, and colors of the rider. In all nominations for handicaps the previous performances are to be given, All jockeys to ride in proper racing costume, and any jockey riding except in' colon) entered will be fined 2 sovs. No entry will bo accepted unless accom. S »nied with the amount of ontranco monoy or will any entry bo received after the hour named under any pretence whatever, No entry will he received for any of the races except upon this condition: That all disputes and objections aiising out of the races shall bo decided by a majority of tho stewards present, or those whom they may appoint". Their docision upon all points connected with tho carrying out of this programme shall be final. In oaso of a protest, the same must bo lodged with tho secretary within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the protect bo found trivial or vexatious, All district races District Hurdles inoluded, are open only to horses within the boundary of theTauoru river, Ilat Point, and Waimata streams, and owned by bona fide residents for three months previous to tho data of these races. Nominations for handicaps, general entries, and acceptances will bo received by tho seoretary at the Tinui Hotel on the following dates:—Nominations for all handicap races at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19th; Weights declared (except for Forced Handicap) at the Club Hotel, Masterton, on Saturday. February 23rd, at 9.30 p.m., and published on Monday, February 25th. Acceptances and general entries close on FRIDAY, 29th February, at7p.m, Weights for Forced Handicap declared on courso after District Handicap is run. A penalty of 71ba to be carried by tho winnor of any Maiden Plate after entry for these races.
