To bo run under the Wairarapa Jockey Club Rules, The Saddling Bell will ring at 11.30 each day, aud the first race start at 12 o'clock. The timo for starting each event will bo duly posted on the coumo after each preceding race. No person will bo allowed to enter a horse for any race (hack raics excepted) unless he be a subscriber of at least £1 to the race fund, Three entries or tho public money will be withheld. No scratching of horses allowed, unless through tho secretary, and fifteen minutes before the time of starting. The starter ha 3 the power to placo fractious or kicking horses, or disobedient jockeys in any position he thinks necessary to secure a fair start, All entries to bo made in writing, Ecaled and addressed to tho secretary, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at time of entry, and pedigree of the horse, name of tho owner, and colon of the rider. In all nominations for handicaps the previous performances are to be given. All jockeys to ride in proper racing costiiin», and any jockey riding, except in co'Oß entered will be fined 2 sovs. No entry will be accepted unless ac:o m panied with the amount of entrance money Nor will any entry be received after the hour named under any pretence whatever, No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition: That all disputes and objections wising out of the races shall be decidtd by a majority of the stewards present, or those-whom they may appoin't. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall bo final. In case of a protest, the samo must be lodged with the secretary within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of £2. such deposit to be forfeihd if tho ptotfiit be found trivial or vexatious. All district races District Hurdlo3 included, are open only to horses within the boundary of theTaueru river, Hat Point, and Wai nata streams, and owned by bona fide residents for three months previous to the dalt of these raees. Nominations for handicaps, general entries, and acceptances will bo received by the secretary at the 'i'inni Hotel on the following dates:—Nominations for all handicap races at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19th; Weights declared (except for Forced Haudicap) at the Club Hotel, Mastetton, on Saturday. February 23rd, at 9.30 p.m., and published on Monday, February 25th. Accegtauccs and gcnoral entries close on FRIDAY, 29th February, at 7 p.m. Weights for Forced Handicap declared on course after District Handicap, is run, A penalty of 71bs to be carried by tho winner of any Maidon Plato after entry for these races.
