THE WESLEYAN PICNIC.

The Wesleyau picnic held in the picturesque paddock kindly lent by Mr Billington was a great success yesterday, tho attendance of children, of youths and maidens, and of parents, being considerably in excess of any previous anniversary. Ample provision had been made for refreshments, but the crowd was so great that the commisariat were alarmed and sent to Mr E. B. Bell to come to their rescue. Mr Bell responded by forwarding a couple of van loads of extra provisions, and all fear of shortness of supplies was dissipated. . The usual outdoor sports were indulged in from morn till "dewy eye." The. Volunteor Band gavo their services, and played with a right goodwill. Mr James placed his swinging-boat at the disposal of the juveniles, and had plent* of custom. Mr Billington did all in his power to accommodate everybody, and .the names of the varipus' workers who contributed to the success of the gathering would fill up more than our available space. There was but one mishap at the close of the (lay, A van was loaded with crockery, when the horse attached to the vehicle bolted across the paddock, At every jolt a string of cups and saucers bounded,-from the vehicle, and came to grief on the grass, A big bill is expected for broken crockery, but the general success of the affair was so exhilarating that even this mishap did not spoil the good humor of the managers,

Ws nam that if every one would use Hop Bitters freely there would be much leas Mckhess and miaery in the world, and people are fast beginning to find this out, whole fatnilios keeping v,ell at a trifling oojt by its use. We advise all to try it. Rear!
