No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any raco (back raies excepted) unless ho be a subscriber of at least £1 to the race fund. Threo entries or tlio public monoy will bo withheld. No scratching of horses allowed, uuless through tlio secretary, and fifteen minutes beforo the time of starting. The starter has the power to placo fractious or kicking horses, or disobedient jockeys in any position , ho thinks necessary to secure a fair start. All entries to be mado in writing, sealed and addressed to the secretary, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at timo of entry, and pedigree of the horse, namo of the owner, mid colors of tlio rider. In all nominations for handicaps the previous performauces are to be given. All jockeys to ride in proper racing costume, and any jockey riding except iu colors entered will be fined 2 sovs. No entry will bo accepted unlo3s accom • panied with tlio amount of entrance money, Nor will any entry bo received after tlio hour named under any pretense whatever, No entry will be received for any of tlio races except upon this condition: That all disputes and objections aming out of tho races shall bo decided by a majority of tlio stewards' present, or thoso whom thoy may appoinf. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme ehall bo linal. In case of a protest, the same must be lodged with the secretary within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to bo forfeited if tho protest be found trivial or vexatious. All district races District Hurdlos included, are open only to horses within the boundary of tho Taiterii river, Hat Point, and Waimata streams, and owned by bona lido residents for three months previous to tho datt, of these races, Nominations for handicaps, general entries, and acceptances will be received by tho secretary at the Tinui Hotel on tho following dates:—Nominations for all handicap racc3 at 8 p.m. ou Tuesday, February 19th ; Weights declared (except for Forced Handicap) at the Club Hotel, Jlasterton, on Saturday. February 23rd, at 9.30 p.m., and published on Monday, February 25th. Acceptances and general entries close on FRIDAY, 29th February, at7p.m. Woights for Forced Handicap declared on courso after District Handicap is run.
