QUESTION; To the Emtob, ~ Sir,—How is it, after the Telegraph Department has been to the expense of carrying to wire to the Taueru, we cannot succeed in getting an office for the telephone 1 The wire is very nice to look at, but tho office would be betler, putting aside the fgreat convenience it would, be'to the public But, sir, as taxation is. tho order of the day would it- not be wise'if Doctor Lemon could so'!manage ; it to put i small tax upon us for the purpose of erecting a small office, as the department evidently is not in a position h do so,; ;,; Iftttvic.,
