UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, this day, About a thousand persons asstmbled at the Exchange Hall to witness the sale of the wreck of Triumph. The first lot offered was the cargo remaining on the ship, consisting of two cases of the estimated value of LSOO, coal and 300 tons railway iron. The whole were sold for LI3O. Oxenham purchaser. Haslam machinery, anchors &c, was then offered. Bidding started at LSOO, and werejultimately knocked down at L 2,100 to W. Aitken. The official enquiry, at the instance of the collector of ousfcoms, called in the police court to-day'was adjourned.
