RULES AND REGULATIONS, To be run under the the MastertonOpaki Jockoy Club Rules. The Saddling Bell will ring at 11.30 each day, and the first race start at 12 o'clock. The timo for starting each event will be duly posted on tho course after each preceding race, Hack liaces are open to horses that never won an advertised race other than Hack Races; or that have not run for an advertised race tor six months previous to date of meeting, The District Race is open to all borses owned in the district at least six months previous to this race meeting. In case of a protest the same must bo lodged with tho Secretary within 15 minutes after the race has ken run, with a deposit of £2, suoh deposit to bo forfeited if the protest be found trivial or vexatious, Tho winner of the first day's Hack . Race will not be allowed to run for the one on the second day, No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race (Hack Race excepted) unless he bo a subscriber of at least £1 to the raco fund. No scratching of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and fifteen minutes before the time of starting Entries for Maiden Plate and nominations for Railway Plate Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, District Handicap, and Hurdle Handicap to be mado in writing and addressed to the Hon, Secretary, Masterton, not later tlian 9 o'clock on THURSDAY evening, NOVEMBER Bth, Entrance money enclosed with-name, ago at the time of entry, pedigree, arid in the case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of owner, and colors of tho rider. Weights for Railway Plato Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, and Handicap Hurdles to bo declared at Club Hotel on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st, at 8 o'clock p.m. Acceptances fc same to be declared on Thursday evening, November 29th at 9 o'clock, Weights for the Dietriot Handicap to be declared at the Club Hotel at 8 o'clock on the evening of tho first day's racesAcceptances for same will close same evening. Nominations for Consolation Handicap to bo made to the secretary fifteen minutes after the Distriot Handicap is run. Weights to be deelared.fifteen minutes after the nominations have closed; and acceptances will close fifteen minutes after the weights have been declared. Horses walking over will receive fifty por cent only of the stakes.
