GREYTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The adjourned ordinary meeting of the Council was held on Thursday evening, Present—His Worship the Mayor, Ors St. George, Gallagher, >V • Bright, Beard, Udy, Varnham andj Kimberley. . £~-' The minutes of the previous meeting were road and confirmed. Correspondence outwards was read from the letter book. Pursuant to notice Or Gallagher moved and Cr Beard seconded, That the ranger's duties extend throughout the borough. Carried. The reports of ,the Works and Finance Committees were read and adopted. The abstract of the general account for the half year was read. ~ . A return asked for by Cr Udy' showing amount of rates collected in the various portions of the borough and the expenditure on the different, roads since the borough has been formed was then read and laid on the table, It was resolved on the motion of His Worship, seconded by Cr Udy, That during the next six months the Council meet at 8 p,m, Attention was drawn to tho. state of the well opposite Mr Fuller's, His Worship the Mayor moved and Cr Udy seconded, That tho matter ba referred to the Works Committee, The meeting then adjourned.
