RULES AND REGULATIONS. To be run under the the MastertonOpaki Jockey Club Rules. The Saddling Bell will ring at 11.30 each day, and the first race start at 12 o'clock. The time for starting each , event will be duly posted on the course after each preceding race, Hack Races are open to horses that never won an advertised race other than Hack Races; or that have lot run for an advertised race tor six months previous to date of meeting. Tho District Race is open to all horses owned in the district at least six months previous to this raco meeting, •In case of a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary: within 16 minutes after the race has beea run, with f, deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found trivial or vexatious. The winner of the first day's Hack Race will not be allowed to run for the one on tho second , No person will ho allowed to euter» horse for any race (Hack Raco excepted) unless ho bo a subscriber of at least £1 to tho raco fund. No scratching of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and fifteen minutes before the time of starting. Entries for Maiden Plate and ' nominations for Railway Plate Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, and Hurdle Handicau to be mado in writing, and addressed to the Hon, Secretary, Masterton, not later than 9 o'clock on THURSDAY evening, NOVEMBER Bth. Entrance money enclosed with name, age at the time of entry, pedigree, and in the case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of owner, and colors of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will bo fined 2 sovs. No entries will bo received after that night either by letter or telegram. Weights for Railway Plate Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, and Handicap Hurdles to bo declared at Club Hotel on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st, at 8 o'clock p.m. Acceptances for same to bo declared on Thursday evening, November 29th at 9 o'clock. Weights foj'the District Handicap to be dcolarod at the Club Hotel at 8 o'clock on the evening of tho first day's racesAcceptances for samo will close Bame evening. Nominations for Consolation Handicap to be made to the secretary fifteen minutes after tho District Handicap is run. Weights to be declared fifteen minutes alter the nominations have closed; and acceptances will close, fifteen minutes after the weights have been declared.
