CORRESPONDENCE.

(TO THE EDITOR.) Sir,—On my way home to my house yesterday I was informed by a very respectable person that on Sunday evening last there had been religious services held at the Kuriipimi Hall by persons of onedenomination, -which had been conducted in the usual way and | concluded. After which it was taken by another party and kept up till a late hour in a very rowdy and noisy character. A number of boys- and others assembled in the street, conducting themselves in a most disorderly : manner, to the annoyance of the residents near the building. My informant: assured me that if it is not checked at Once tlio nuisance will become unbearable. I like, sir, to show proper respect to religion and its services, but I see no need for such a noisy and inconsistent mode to be adopted in its performances. There need to be no shouting as though God was deaf and unable to hear, I consider that in the worship of God the utmost decorum and reverence should be maintained. I wquld suggest therefore that the Directors of the Hall Company should restrict the time to the hour of nine in the evening, and no later, when tho doors should be closed and the streets cleared.

I am (fee,, One op the Kurvpuni Hah Company.
