Daniel O'Connell stood the 1881 season at Kaikoura, Marlborough, where he gave every satisfaction, proving himself a sure foal-getter; and immediately after tho Beason ended he was entered for and won the Kaikoura County Cup, which his owner presented to tho Kacing Club as a trophy to be run for by his stock when two years old. Thirteen of bis foals were entered for this race; and lam informed on undeniable authority, that his stock cannot be purchased under high prices there. Daniel O'Connell will travel from Whakataki to Masterton.
