All entries to be made subject to tho condition that all disputes, claims and objections ariiing out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and that such decision t-hail be final and binding, in all cases, Entries for Maiden Plato and Cartertmi Taratahi Stakes and nominations for Handicap Hurdle Race and Birthday Cup to be made in writing, stating name, pedigree, performances, description' and age of horse, and colors of rider, and to be sent in accompanied by. the nomination fee to the Hon .Secretary (O, H. Giles, Carterton) on or Mure Thursday, the IStli October, IHB3. at II p.m. Weights to be declared on or before Wednesday, 24th Oclober, IBS 3, and published in the local newspapers. Acceptances to be made on or before Tuesday, the 30th day of October, 1883, at 9 pm. Three e.i tries or the public mouey will be withhold, No.protest will bo considered unless lodged with the Secretary withiu fifteen minutes after tho race, aid aecompaniud by a deposit of two pounds, which shall' be forfeited if the Stewards are of opinion that the protest is frivolous or vexatious.
