RULES AND REGULATIONS To be run under the the MastertonOpaki Jockey Club Rules. 'l'ho Saddling Hell will ring at 11.30 each day, and the first race start at 12 o'clock. The time for starting each event will be duly posted on the course after each preceding race. Hack Races aro open to horso3 that never won an advertised race other than Hank llaces; or that have not ruu for an advertised race tor six months previous to date ol meeting, The District Race is opsn to all horses owned in the district at least six months previous to this raco meeting. In case of a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, sufh deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found trivial or voxa'ious, The winner of me first day's Hack Race will not be allowed to run for the one on the s eond day, N u poison will be allowed to outer a horso for any race (Hack Ritco excepted) unless Le be a subscriber of at least £1 to the race fund. No scratching of ho-ses; allowed, unless through the Secretary, and fifteen minutes before the time of starting Entries for Maiden Plate and nominations for Railway Plate Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, and Hurdle Handicap to be made 'in writiuß, and addressed lo the Hon, {Secretary, Masterton, not later than 9 o'clock on THURSDAY evening, NOVEMBER Bth. Entrance money enclosed with name, age at tl-e time of entry, pedigree, and in Uio case of handicaps, performances of the horse, namn of owner, and colors of the rider. Any jockey riding exoopt in the colors entered will be fined 2 sova. No entries will be received after that night either by letter or tele?nm. Weights for Railway Plate Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, and Handicap Hurdles to bo declared at Club Hotel on WEDNESMY,_ MOVE-MBBlt 3lrt, at 8 o'olock p.m. Acceptances fo>- same to be declared on Thursday evening, November 20th at 9 o'clock. Weights for the District Handicap to be declared at the Club Hotel at 8 o'clock on the evening of the first day's racesAcceptances for same will close same evening. Nominations for (Jonsplation Handicap to be made to' the secretary fifteen minutes after fhe District Handicap is run. Weights to be declarer) 'fifteen minutes after tho nominations have closed; and acceptances will close fifteen minutes after the weights have been declared. Horses walking over will rcceivo fifty per cent only of the stakes.
