All entries to be made subject to the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and that such decision shail be final and binding, in all cases, Entries for Maiden Plate and Carterton Taratahi stakes and nominations for Handicap Hurdle Race and Birthday Cup to be made in writing, stating name, pedigree, performances, description and ago of horse, and colors of rider, and to be sent in accompanied by the nomination fee to the Hon Secretary (C. H. Giles, Carterton) on or before Thursday, the 13th October, 1883. at !l p.m; Weights to be declared on or before Wednesday, 24th October, 18S3, and published m the local newspapers. Acceptances to be made on or before Tuesday, the 30th day of October, 1833, i.t 9 pm. Three entries or the public money will be withheld. No protest will be considered unless lodged with the Secretary within fifteen minutes alter the race, i.nd accompanied by a deposit of two pounds, which shall be foifcited if the Stewards are of opinion that the protest is frivolous or vexatious. All jockeys to ride in the colors nominated, or a fine of 1 sov will bo enforced. No entry will be admitted-Hack and Hack Hurdle and Novel Race excepted—unless the person entering be a subsoiibtr of £1 Is or more to the race fund. The old rules of the Wairarapa Jockey Club lo apply in all cases not otherwise pi ovided for by these regulations.
