To be run under the the Masterton. Opaki Jockey Club Rules. The Saddling Bell, will ring at 11.30 each day, and the first race start at 12 o'clook, The time for starting eaoh event will be duly posted on the course after each preceding race. Hack Races are open to horses that never won an advertised race other than Hank Races; or that have not run for an advertised race (or six months previous to date oi meeting. The Distriot Race is open to all horses owned in tho district at least six months previous to this race meeting. In case of a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, auoh deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found trivial or vexatious. The winner of the first day's Hack Race will not be allowed to run for the ono on the second day. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race (Hack Race excepted) unless Le be a subscriber of at least £1 to the race fund. No scratching of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and: fifteen minutes before the time of starting. Entries for, Maiden Plato and nominations for Railway Plate Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, and Hurdle Handicap to be made in writing, and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Masterton, not later than 9 o'clock on THURSDAY evening, NOVEMBER Bth, Entrance money enclosed with name, age at the timo of entry, pedigree, and in the case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of owner, and colors of tho rider. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 2 sovb. No entries will be received after that night either by letter or telegrim. Weights for Bailway Plate Handicap, Opaki Stakes Handicap, and Handicap Hurdles to be declared at Club Hotel on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st, at 8 o'clock p.m. Acceptances for samo to be declared on Thursday evening, November 29th at 9 o'clock, Weights for the District Handicap to bo declared at the Club Hotel at 8 o'clock on the evening of the first day's racesAcceptances for same will close same evening.
