WHY HE DIDN'T RECOGNISE THE CLOCK.
Dr Lyuian Bee'cher was frequently absent-minded. On one occasion, after an evening's service, ho started for homo in a brown study. The houses in' his block were of the same pattern. " Dr Beecher, you have made a mistake and got into the wrong house." He cast a quick glaiue around upon the family circle, sprang from his chair, and with a bound was out of the house without a word of explanation or excuse,
