TO TRAYEL THIS SEASON, N the Wairarapa, tho celebrated thoroughbred horse, DANEBURY is own brother to Adamant, winner of the last Dunedin Cap, in the fastest time that has yet been recorded, viz, 3 minutes 54 seconds by the far-famed sire Troduccr, dam Ada (winner of the Cantejbury Derby), by St. Aubyn (sire of Toitoi, Harakeke, and Una, dams of Kakapo, Hornby, Korari, Perfume, Ariel, 4c.,) granddarn Princess, by Gratis (siro of Dinah), dam of that wonderful mare Musidoia, who produced amongst others the following noted horses Miss Jessie (winner V.R.'J. Derby) Belphegor, Sea Spray (winners V.O.R, and S.A..T.C. StLegers(, Bresis (winner V.RC. .Derby, Oaks, and Melbourne Cup) and South Hamilton (winner V.RC. 2year old stakes.) At Auckland, ran second to Perfume for the Racing Club Handicap, giving him two years and lOlbs. Handicap, carrying top weight. At Ashburton he won the Cup, carrying top woight. At the Canterbury Metropolitan Meeting, carrying Sat 7lbs, ran third in the C.J.C, Handicap, won by Mata, Gst 51b ; Ariel, 5 years, Bst 101b, second. Ran Becond to Trump Card, for the C.C. Plate, after a desperate race of two miles, giving, him 191bs; time, 3miii, 44sec. At Tauheronikau, won Wairarapa Stakes, 3 miles, bsating Lara and Otupia, he carrjing 9st w.f.a. Ran second to his stable companion, Mufti, 6st 51bB, in the W.J .O. Handicap (this race he could liavo won easily had he beon allowed). As a o-year old at the Canterbury Metropolitan Meeting lie won the Free Handicap! carrying top weight, Oat, one mile, beating Foul Play, Camballo, Sinking Fund, Luna; Lara, and others: time, lmin 4Gsec. Won the Railway Plate; weight for age, half: mile, aud the Metropolitan Handicap, carrying Bst 41b, 1J miles, having behind liini Fish-hook, Ariel, Longlands; Natator, Bribery aud others. As a fi-year old served at a Btiid. Asa 7-year old (and while performing stud duties) ho won the Lyell's Bay Clip, carrying 9st 121b, U miles, and the Wairarapa Jockey Clib Handicap, 2 miles, ; carrying 7st lOlbs, in a canter.
