Some two years ago the Government, through its local agent, talked a considerable number of residents in this district into taking up policies in their industrial branch, which was opened specially for the working classes. Now, we understand, the Government tire putting a pressure on their' policy holders to give up/their policies and accept a surrender.. value, which is something less-than- the amount: they have paid in. Wo consider that in doing this the Government are guilty of bad faith to .the working classes.- If their industriar scheme lias bluiideredr they were bound in honor to take the consequences of their own holies, and riot saddle the loss on to the insurers. It is evident; that, to say the least,; there is gross mismanagement in' the Government insurance department. •:
