FEATHERSTON—MONDAY. (Before H. S. Wardel), K.M.) An information against James Harvey, of Invercargill, was, at the request of Mr Bunny for informant (Mr Sutton), withdrawn, on defendant paying costs 725. The charge was that defendant had failed to destroy the rabbits on certain lands in the Wairarapa over 'which he had coutroL
Rayaer Greeks was charged by the; Clerk of-the Court with failing to obey an order of the Court for the payment of 2a 6d per week towards his sister's support, she being an invalid. Defendant pleaded that be was unable jto contribute as he was sick himself, and in answer to the Court said be earned His living "as a married couple." The meaning of this being rather puzzlin'g, he explained that he had a wife, jim Worship told the defendant that unite) he paid up all money due whhin an hour he would send him to gaol, as he intended the order should be obeyed. The defendant paid up the money, £& 7s; §<l and 7s costs, in a very short timav! apon which the information was struck out. . - \ ' Tb.e»a : were only three small debt cases on the list, which were settled out of court. 1
