The ordinary meeting waa held in the Road Board Office, Ferry-street, on Saturday last. Present—Measra Meredith, sen. {chairman), W. H, Beetham, Dagg, and Ohaiuberlaiu. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE, From Messrs Rapp and Hare, asking that their securities on the Waipawa Road Contract remain for another month. From Treasury Depsrtment, acknowledging reciept of fifteen debentures from the Board, for £10913s 6d each, issned nnder the Roads and Bridges Construction Act, From Colonial Secretary's Office, staling that the special order of the Maslerton Road Board aa to the naming of the subdivisions was published in the Gazette of August 3rd; From Pnblio Works Office stating that a certificate had been forwarded of the amount of the grant to the Treasurer, at required by sections 13 and 37 of the Roads and Bridges Construction Act, also enclosing twelve' forms for progress payment? whioh required certifying to by the Pablio Works Engineer. From Property Tax Department stating that the rates applied for by the Board on Grown and Native Landa] were correct, and that the required certificate would be issued without unnecessary delay.
