A Committee meeting of the Greytown Honiouliural Society was held on Saturday evening, when it was reported that several of the principal exhibitors at previous show would not exhibit this year, and not withstanding the exenior.s of the Committee, very little proraiio of support-was held out. Mr Braithwaite tabled a state ment asking for the loan of £2OO, to be applied fur under the Roads and Bridges Construction Act, 1882. Resolved-That for the purpose of metalling portion of Olliver's Line an application for a loan of £2OO be made to the Government, under the Roads and Bridges Construction Act, 1882; that permission be granted to Mr Braithwaite to retain a ga'e »n the public road near hia property; that Mr Skey's offer of a gravel pit bo accepted ; and that tenders he called for two sections of formation and metalling on Kokatan road, about fifty chains each.
