The success which has attended the Gear Meat Company since its establishment as a public Company, Bhows exclusively that such businesses aro more systematically and advantageously worked and extended in this way than by private enterprise; and it is for this reason that Messrs Barber, and Woods, n '"^ u l and Company are willing to sell IB ft VfifU lornn intoiW themselves; and they havo agreed to place their Eorvices at the disposal of tho Company I for such time as the Directors may require, and not to engago in any business in competition with this Company, . t The resources of tlio Wellington distriot, in tho way of sheep and cattle, are so largo and increasing,, and the demand for preserved meats in ' England andelsewhere so muoh in excess of tho supply, that a business of this kind is capable of almost infinite extension, and presents to /capitalists the opportunity of a safe and profitable invest* ment, whilst to stock-owners it affords the means of securing a fair value for lieir produce., THE PROVISIONAL DIfiECSORs HAVE GIVEN THEIR CAIUWDL CONSIDERATION TO 'iHK PR9SS JECTS OF THE IROroSED COMPANY, AND HAVE HAD BUBIIITTED To THEM BY.<JHEIB OWN VALUATOR ME DETAILED VALUATIONS OT THE YABIOOB PROFEHTIeAto RETAKEN OVER, THEY' KEL'fHKV OAS W.fHCONFIDENCE RECOMMEND THIS IWpEllTAljrt'g TO TUB PUBLIC AB'ONE which McvfEmi ci'ox on a fair basis, AND WHICH IMIOSIMK T-i YIELD A HANDSOME totillNoXi,lliU.m.\l, INVESTED, AS WELL % BY TUB KXrK.VfcMy OF TUB BUSINESS ADDINO TO THE SIATKIIIAI.
