She 1 watched for an opportunity tosnatchtb?'knife.from him, and threw it out the'window. Hejlien picked up a table knife and'began cutting her throat with it. Her hand was cut iu trying to snatch it from him. He said he,meant cutting her-throat, aiid he might as well do it at once. She cried " Murder," which brought her landlord up, and he/forced open the door and pulled him off her. At that time hor husband had her on the floor cutting'her throat. Being strong he got away from the landlord, and caught hold of her with bis- hands; .and nearly 'strangied;;hieri--'';He^then" : 'g6t away and ran mtd the street.
