INDIGNATION MEETING AT PALMERSTON NORTH.

A large and influential indignation, meeting was held here last nigh. Mr Jenasen, Mayor, in the chair, following resolutions were passed uuauf mously:—Proposed by Mr J,B. Hamilton, :" That this constituency deeply" that after so many endeavors to obtain its legitimate portion of the present vote for railways in the North Island on this years Estimates, no provision is made for the construction of the line'con'netting, the Palmerston distriot with Woodville,. whereas last year it waa • understood the diau-ibution of the vote for railway works on the Masterton liue, to its junction with the West Coast line, was arraugod, purposely by Government, with & view to' commence operations at this end within,a reasonable time."
