Passengers can he hooked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under three years of age travel free; abovo and under twelve years of age. half-fare, Horses, Carriages, &c.~The Railway-De-partment; does not undertake to forward Horses and Oarages by any particular Train, but when sent they must bo at tho forwarding station half-an-hour before the departure of tho Train. The owners of tho Horses must provide means for securing them iu the horse-box, ant' the Railway Department will not be accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to cariy unbroken or vicious Horsos. At Country Stations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage-trucks must be mado the day before they are wanted, Togs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of die journey, before the dog is delivered. Return or Periodical Tickets will will not be available for Speoial or Excursion Trains, except the ordinary Timo Table is Return Tickets for distances not exceeding 25 miles are available on the day of iasin only; for each additional 25 miles, or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowos!, Ordinary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available as Return Tickets until the end of the following Monday. Parcels and Goods—For Pipitea, Kaiwarr.v, Ngahauranga, Belmont, Hay ward's, Silver Stream, Wallaceville, Summit, Cioss' Creek, Pigeon Bush, Fernside, Woodside, and at Hag Stations, must bo Prepaid, and will be put out on the platforms of those Stations at the risk of the Consignee. Special Notico-To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs must be at the Station at least Thirty Minutes before advertised time of departure of Train. . The I'ailway Department does 1 not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in tho abovo Tables, and in the event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made which may render it impossible or expedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Faros paid, but does not undertake to forward passengets. / Luggage.—Each passenger is allowed to tako ll'ilbs of personal luggage free (not including merchandise of any kind), and for every 561bs above this weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the eharae will be One Shilling. No luggage will bo allowed to be taken into the Carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under tho stat without inconvenience to other passengers. Possengers are strongly recommended to have their Names and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed ou the Traiu, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Parcols and Goods-From the above Stations can be made " To Pay" at Wellington, IVtoni, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Kaitoke, Featlierston Greytown, Carterton,and Maslerton.
