Passengers can bi booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train, (Million under three years of age travel f iee; above find under twelve years of ago, half-fare,-Horse?, Carriages. Ac.—Tlio Railway Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carnages by any particular Train, but when sent they must bo at the forwarding Btation half-an-lwur before the departure of the Train. The owners of the must proviilo means for securing them in the horse-bos, am? the Railway Department will not be accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking looss or otherwiso, nor will it undertake to cany unbroken or vicious Horses, At Country btations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage-trucks must bo made the day bjfore they are wanted. Logs must bo provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. I'hey will not be allowed in carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of Jie journey, before the dog is delivered. Return or Periodical Tickets will will not be available for Special, or Excursion 1 rains, except tlio ordinary Timo Table is suspended, Return Tickets for distances not exceeding 25 miles are available on the day of issuj only; for each additional 25 miles, or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowe-!, Ordinary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays aro available as Return fi 'kets until the end of the following Monday. Parcels and Goods—For Pipitea, Kaiwarra, Ngahauranga, Belmont, Hayward's, Silver Stream, WallaC6ville, Summit, Cioss' Creek, Pigeon Bush, Fernside, Woodside, and at Flag Stations, must bo Prepaid, and will be put out on the platforms of those Stations at the risk of the Consignee. Special ' Notice—To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, aud Dogs must be at the Station i»t least Thirty Minutes beforo advertised timo of departure of Train. The Failivay Department does not pledge itself to the despatcii or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in the abovo Tables, and in tho event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to tho journey being made which may render it impossible or expedient for a Train to proceed, will return, the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward passengers. Luggage.—Each passenger is allowed to take llulbg of personal luggage free (not including merchandise of any kind), end for every 561bs above this weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 60 miles, the charge will be Ono Shilling. No luggage will be allowed to 06 taken into the Carriages, unless of such a size that.it can bo placed under the stat without iuoonyenience to other passengers. Posspngers are strongly recommended to lmve their Names and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on tlinr Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for, Parcels and Goods—From the abovo Stations can ba made" To Pay" at Wellington, l'ttom, Lower Hiitt, Upnor Hutt, ICaitoko, I'eatherston Greytown, Carterton,and Masle.'ton.
