ADELAIDE, Friday. The Colonial Treasurer made his Financial Statement in the House of Assembly last night. It showed that the revenue during the last financial year was £2,090,000, and the expenditure £2,230,000. The estimates of the revenue for the current year is at £2,170,000, and the expenditure at £2,350,000, In order to meet the deficiency it is decided to impose a tax of a. penny in the pound on real and personal property. This is estimated to yield £160,000. The Treasurer showed that tho railways pay 2J per cent on the capital invested, and announced that it was intended to increase the immigration vote to £40,000.
