No similar institution exists in tne North Island which is thus wholly dependant for its supplies upon the Woollen Factories of tho South Island and upon imports. It is moderately estimated that the quantity of material of the classes proposed to be manufactured, which would find an immediate outlet, would yearly exceed £'250,000, an amount sufficient to yield a very handsome dividend upon the capital of tho Company. The special natural advantages possessed by this district for carrying on imd trading in manufactures of the classes ;;:v'nT:l must_of themselves form an essential element in the success of tho Company, and givo assurance that it will bo able successfuly to emulato the prosperity of other factories already in operation in tho South Island. The Diiectors do not venture to afford any data upon which to p.ronml anticipations oi profit, but confidently appeal tn the success which lias attended tho operations of the Kaiapoi and Mosgie! Woollen Companies as offoring ft reasonable guarantee that the present undertaking will, under careful management, not bo behind thorn in tho returns il will yield. It may be mentioned that the dividends already paid by the above Companies have proved that there is ample room for the extension of the woollen industry, and the Directors do not hesitate in lecommending the presont enterprise to tho attention of persons requiring a legitimate investment foi thou: money, while the advantages which they onjoy of being able to avoid errors necessarily arising from inexperience, justify a hope that the works of the Company will be established at a icasonablo cost, Applications for sliarts, in form annexed, may be made to the Secretary, at Wellington, either direct or through the brokers of the Company or any of their agents, Every application must be accompanied by tho required deposit, or by it receipt from any branch of the Colonial Bank for the amount of bucli deposit, Application forms may be obtained from the Secretary and brokers, their accents, or at any branch of the Colonial Bank of New Zealand,
