THE LAND BOARD.

The usual fortnightly meeting of the Waste Lands Board was held yesterday afternoon. Present—Messrs Bunny (in , the chair), Beetham, Mason, and.W. Waving Taylor. The' schedule of land sold since last meeting showed that % acres, roalising £ll4, had been disposed of. Mr Beetham moved tho. following resolution:—" That section No, i, Blook' X, Mangnone, bo changed from a cash section to a deferred payment section, ai)d ; that the price bo altered from : .£2 to-30s per acre," Mr Mason moved, as an amendment," That'the price be I2per acre." and after'some discuaaibn chc resolution thus amended was carried, A letter was read from Mr. D, Chatnier oovering a petition convening from Pahia'. tua Bottlers asking the Board to raovo tho Gpvomniemt to set apart a portion of the township reserve (promised as a site for a cemetery and park) as a burial ground.
