Pasßengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train. Ohildron under three years of age travel f ree; above and under twelve years of ago, half-fare. Horaoß, Carriages. &c.—Tho Railway Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train, but whon sent they mußt be at tho forwarding station half-on-hour befoio the departure of the Train. The owners oi the Horses mußt provido moans for securing thorn in the and tho Hallway Department will not be accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Country Stations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage-trucks must be made the day before they are wanted. Eogs must bo provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. They will not be allowed in carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up before tho end of die journey, boforo the dog is delivered,
Heturn or' Periodical Tickets will will not bo available for Special or Excursion Trains, except the ordinary Time Tabic is suspended, lletura Tickets for distances not exceeding 25 milos are available on the day of issue only; for each additional 25 miles, or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowed, Ordinary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available as Ecturn Tickets until tho end of the following HonParcels and Goods—For Pipitea, Kaiwarw, Ngahauranga, Belmont, Hay war i's, Silver Stream, Wallaceville, Summit, Cioss' Creek, Pigeon Bush, Fernsido, Woodside, and at flag Stations, must bo Prepaid, and will be put out on tho platforms of those Stations at the risk of the Consignee, Special Nolico—To ensure despatch, Parcels, Extra Luggage, and Dogs must be at the Station at least Thirty Minutes heforc advertised time of departure of Train. The Bailwa.v Depnrtmeut does not pledge itself to tho despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in tho above Tables, and in tho event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made which may render it impoEsiblo or expedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward passengers, Luggage,—Each passenger is allowed to take 11 Hlbs of personal luggage free (not including merchandise of any kind), and for every 561bs above this weight, for every 50 milos or fraction of 50 miles, the charge will be Qnc Shilling. No luggage will be allowed to be taken into the Carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconyenience to other passengers. Possengers are strongly recommended to have their Names and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Parcels and Goods-Jrom tho abovo Stations can b3 made " To Pay" at Wellington, Pttoni, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Kaitoko, Feathereton Qreytown, Cnrterton.and Mastorton.
