Brandon moved the address in reply, and the Hon Mr Barnicoat seconded it. Both deprecated the proposed change in the constitution of the Council. Colonel Whitmore would/not opposp the change if shown to.be an improvement. He blamed the Hon Mrßryco for shaking hands with : To Kooti, -" The 'Hon P. Whitakbr did not think the constitution of the Council would be altered that session,--but would be made the subject of discMon at the noxfc general election. , ™ The Hon Mr Grace considered the references to the subject mero idle talk, The Hon Mr Mantell would not oppose the reconstruction if shown; to be an improvement. ! The debate was adjourned. The Criminals Execution Bill, Criminal Law' Code Billj Property Law Consolidation Bill, Trustees Bill, Crown Grants Bill, and Sheriffs Bill were read a second timo, The Privileges,Billj and Bills of Exchange Bill were read a first time. .
