' The Government ot South Australia has expressed its cordial approval of the proposal, and the Governor, Sir William Robinson, has telegraphed to Earl Derby urging his approval, Sir James Service has telegraphed to the Agent-General of Victoria, in London, 'instructing him to take steps further in the object in view.
LONDON,' June 11, The Bill for legalising marriage with a deceased wife's sister will be brought before the House of Lords to-night, and it is expected that the measure ! will pass. A course of festivities, which has been organised at Birmingham in honor of the Right Hon John Bright, and which will occupy a week, commences to-day. • \ : MELBOURNE, ~; •;_■.■. June 11.
