At a meeting of the Australian frozen Meat Company, held to-day, it was announced that a dividend would be paid for the past half-year, and that unless stockowners offered better support to the Company it would be necessary to suspend operations. . LONDON, May 29, In the House of Commons to-day, Mr Gladstone announced that the Government would abandon the London Municipal Government Bill. The Premier added, however, that, the measures relating to corruption and bribery at elections, tenant farmers' compensation, bankruptcy, codification of criminal laws, criminal appeal, and patents would be insisted upon, and pressed forward as fast as possible. ■ ' May 30,' The population of Tipperary; are organising a demonstration in favor of Archbishop Croke, who was recently rebuked by the Pope for taking pai't in political affairs. Waddington, and Lord Wolsely. The ceremony was throughout in strict accordance with the ancient custom, the metropolitan of Moscow and' other high dignitaries of the Greek Church taking a prominent part in the rite. The city was en fete, magnificently decorated with flags , and banners, and festivities were organised in all parts. In the evening there was a . general illumination, the eleotric light being

Australian uud New Zealand breadstuffs have suffered a further decline of one shilling per quarter. At the woolsales yesterday, 10,000 bales were offered and there was a fair demand. -. Faulty scoured and low cross-breds are .one half-penny lower. Eleece wools are in favor of buyers. May 30. : Telegrams are to hand reporting that an anti-Jewish agitation at Kostoff in Russia, continues, the Jewish quarter of the town has been plundered and burnt, and hundreds of Jews have been driven froih their'homes, LONDON; . May 29. The first portion of the cargo of frozen meat ex British King, fromLyttelton, was placed in the market to-day, and realised 6j£d per lb. A part of the shipment has been found to have been hastily frozen before being placed on board.
