Wellington, Wednesday At a meeting of the Education Board to-day it was decided not' to appoint a pupil teacher to the Pernridge-School-It was decided, allow-the vacation to be altered so'that the holidays should take place while alterations to the school were being made. . Repairs were authorised to schools at Grey town, Kaiwaiwai, < and Matarawa. The Board agreed to build a. school at Te Whiti: providing! the settlers would grant the Board-two acres of land for schooland residence, Five pounds was voted fOr'the sewing teacher at, the Matarawa'school; and the Board considered - ; that! the. female assistant in the Carterton school should undertake the teaching of sewing in that, school, The Board decided to agree to the application from Pahiatua for a teacher's residence and school as soon as the land is properly vested in the Board. .
