WASTE LANDS BOARD.

' The usual .fortnightly. ujeet'mg :of the Waste Lands.Board was held yesterday, there being present Mesirs J. G. Holdsworth (Chairman),: T. Mason, W. Wj Taylor, and H. Bunny. The Chairman informed the Board that, owing to the absence of Hia Excellency the Goveinor froin Wellington, a "delay mighiocour in gazetting the .proposed land sale for' June next, and tljot unless a notice of the seotions for sale appeared jn that day's Gazette, it would be necessary to post pone the sale for'a short time, The Board agreed to leave the matter in,the hands of the Chairman. From schedule, 119 laid on the table, it -appeared that 710aOr5p had been disposed of!at s : total price of £670145,, T,fio caaV payments' amounted to £404 19s 6d. Of this, 116 a lr Bp, of tho value of 1174 % was taken upon deferred payment, and a deposit of 13 14b fid was paid thereon. The balance was fully paid for in scrip, A letter wai received from Victor Tong. Vist, applying for the transfer . of his interest in section 10, Block 1V.., Makuri, to Jacob Mon'son. Tho application was granted on tho .usual'conditions ' The Manawatu Highway Boird. applied for sauotion of the expenditure of M 6s 3d, deferred payment mouoy, on bushfalling and clearing iu the Kairanga Block.
