A MAILMAN DROWNED.
Thames, April 23. Sergeant-Major Kiely received the following telegram from Constable Low,ofPaeroa,at 7.4sthis evening: —"lt is reported here that the boy carrying the mail between the Thames andTauranga has'been ; drowne'd in the Waihi Riyei, and tjjat fte horses and and mails' have "been swept away,. A constable starts at once for Waihi."
