BISMARCK'S BEARD AND NEURALGIA.
At the late meeting of Deputies at hip palace in the Wilhelm Stresse (says the Berlin correspondent; of the "Stan-, dard") the Chancellor referred to his beard. He complained that it pleased neither him nor his wjfe, but he wore it because he believed it a useful or necessary defence 'against the neuralgia, to; which he had of late been a perfect martyr. "I suffer-dreadfully in the. mornings," he remarked, 'land if/the Reichstag would only meet inthe afternoons instead of so §alfly I should have taken part in the dobatos in December?' He added 'Jit is only' ; after a full meal that the pains cease.;, -Sometimes they are so severe that.lam obliged when speaking to stop short in the middle of a sentence,; To-day in the Reichstag I was afraid I should not be able to conclude my/>«is»." iPrince ,:Bismarck finally mentioned that;he almost daily received perßcriptions -andmedicine from England; He regretted to. say, however,; that whatever he had tried had at the utmost prpduced/only'a temporary relief, ~• /'V -Vv
