Hawora road, -Mangaone block.—Contract No 1 on the Hawera road is completed, and the works throughout the contract are fairly well -executed.- -On contvaot No 2 about two thirds of the works are done, and on contract No 3 20 chains are partly formed,.* Droyer's Book Road.—Contract No, 1. On this contract the bush is fellod through* out. and tlie,formation is commenced. Wangaehu Valley "Roatl.—AH contracts for formation, culverts, and bridges, etc., on the Wangaehu Valley Road are now completed. The road is now formed to within a milo and a half of the second crossing of the Wangaehu rim, Opaki to Mauriceville road.—Bridge contraot No. 12 (60ft span trussed bridge about 2| miles south of Eketahuha)iis completed, the »orks Ihroaghoot are fairly well. executed.'.. t .;For the last two monthß the .day ;r workmen. ? ;haTß",been employed'generally in cutting: idr'ab 'and 'attending '■ 'to""■•surface' repairs.''
