| TOUTED PRESS ASSOCIATION] FOUND DROWNED. Napiee, this day. The eldest daughter of Mr R, P. Williams, aheepfarmer near West Olive, was found drowned yesterday evening. - The young lady was missed at- tea time on Saturday, and not being found on the premises, an extended search was made, and the neighbors communicated with. The searoh continued all Sunday, when the body was found in a deep pool at the back of the house.
TOWN LANDS SALE AT WANGANTJI. Wanganui, .January 27. Castle Olifij the new seaside township, belonging to the Harbor Board endowment, at the Heads, was sold by auction to-day. The township is divided into a hundred sections averaging an acre eaoh, the leases being for 42 years, the rent doubling at the end of 21 years. Great interest was taken in the sale, and leases of 80 out of 100 sections were taken up, and all but five of those sold exceed the upset price, and gome fetched from three to nine times, and in one case 13 timeß the upset price. The result of the sale is regarded as highly satisfactory..
