RULES AND REGULATIONS. • All entries to be mado subfcct to the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out ot the racing shall be decided by n majority of Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and that such decision shall be final and binding in all eases. Nominations for tlio Handicap Hurdle Race, Maiden Plato, Taratahi-Cnrlerton Handicap, and Sapling Stakes to be made in writing, stating name, pediereo, description atid naine of horso, and colors of rider, and to be sent in accompanied by the nomination fee, to the office of the Hon. Secretary, C. H. Giles, Carterton, on or before Thursday, 4th January, 1883,' at 0 p.m. Tho weights will be declared on or before 10th January, 1883, and posted at the Secretary's Office, also published in the local newspapers. Acceptances to bo made on or before Tuesday 16th January, ISB3, at 6 p.m. Three entries or the public money will be withheld. No protest will be considered unless lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes aftor the race, accompanied by a deposit or two pounds, which shall bo forfeited if the Stewards are of opinion thit the protest is frivolous or vexatious. All jockeys to rido in tho colors nominated or a line of 1 sov will be enforced. No entry will be admitted-Hack, and Ilatk 1 Hurdle Races excepted—unless tho person entering be a subscriber ot one guinea or more to the Ilace Fund, 'flic old rules of the Wairarapa Jockey Club to apply in all cases not otherwise provided for by those regulations.
