It is supposed that the burglars were scared by the approaoh of the train, There was a considerable sum of money in the safe. The Executive Committeo of the Railway League met this evening, and decided to raise a subscription to defray expenses. A report on thewhole question of the East and West Coast routes was drawn up for presentation to tho commission to-morrow. A long resolution was also passed expressive of disappointment at the inability of the commission totakothe West Coast line into consideration, and asking the Government to cither appoint a new commission, or extend the scope of tho present one.
