In consequence of the opinion expressed by Sir Gavn'et Wolseley, that a forco of 10,000 British troops will now be suffi. oient to ensure the maintenance of order in (bin country, orders have been issued for the immediate re-embarkation of three battaliona of the Indian contingent. The remaining battalions will return to their respective stations shortly. Courts martial have been appointed by the Khedive to hold sittings at Cairo and Jin; this city to; try the cases which may be submitted by tho Spooial Commiißion of European:and Native officers, appointed to prosecute those who were guilty of outrages against Europeans during the rebellion, ' ' ■
' An ediot will shortly be issued by the Khedive granting an amnesty, to the officers below the rauk of colonel who fought under Arabi. Constantikopub, September 27. Baker Pasha Railed to-day for Egypt to undertake the reorganisation of the Egyptian army, and departed without awaiting the consent nf the Sultan.
