Sir Evelyn Wood on his arrival at Kafr-adawar, found that the rebel army which had been stationed jthere had dispersed without waiting to surrender, The place is now occupied by a British force The railway communication between Alexandria and Cairo has now been restored.
In all, twenty leaders of the National Party have been arrested for complicity in the revolt. ■
A deoiio, has beon issued by the Khedive wholly disbanding the Egyptian army. The decrcq.furthor sets forth that all officers of tho army who showed sympathy wilh I he Nationalist movoment will be tried by court martial at Cairo. Sept. 19.
A portion of tho rebel garrison has left Aboukir, and has reinforced the black troops at Damielta; under Abdullah Pasha, who still refuses to surrender. Tho remainder of the Aboukir troops have, however, submitted to the British.
