; The usual weekly meeting last evening was rather thinly attended, Mr Grundy the president oooupied the chair. The whole of the evening was taken up m discussing.tlie following report OU Parliamentary practice which was presented by a sub-eominittee appointed for that purpose. ' . RKPOBT. 1. That the Society try the experiment of Parliamentary practice lor a month. 2. That the meetim; room be divided intoministerial opposition and ciossbeneiies, 3. That the Ministerial and .Opposition sides aaoh eleot'a leader. 4. That' the general management of the buaineaa be left to the ohairman and the twu leaders. 5. .That the terms and strict usage of ■Parliamentary debate be not followed at' present but that they be gradually introduced as the Sooiety progresses. 6. That . the ruling of the chairman upon any . disputed point.be final. .7. That points of order shall only be debated with the consent of either leader. . > Each clause in the report was opposed and dißoUßßed at some length.. All were, carried by a considerable majority. !
