CARTERTON TOWN BOARD.

- The usual monthly meeting of the above Board .took place on Monday afternoon. Present—Messrs Fairbrother (chairman), Parker; Oallister/Vickerstaff and A'dani Armstrong, • '

' Thennutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. 'The debit' balance of the Board was reported at L3O 7s lid.

G.T., rendering-account for rent due; , JJr R, Hooper, re drawing timber over District roads contrary to the provisions of the' Public "Works Act, 1876, and informing him that unless he complied with the Act the full penalty would be enforced, With regard to a local registrar of births, dea'hs, and marriages Mr A, Campbell was nominated for the office, -
