GREYTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

■ The monthly meeting of tho Greytown Borough. Council was held last, evening in the Town Hall. Prosont-His Worship tho Mayor.Crs Gray, Haigh, Wakeho, Udy, Bright, Varnham, ond Gallagher. The'minutes of the 'previous meeting wero rbad and confirmed Correspondence outwards was read from the totter book. • luwards from Mr W. C. Buohanaii M.H R, staling that he would b« happy to see to the mutter of a new Court Honse.. Works.Committee report; was read .upd adopted shewing that the map of the borough had .again been received, and that Mr Sk'eet hall.been instructed to look over it, and see if'it was correct... MrW. Morriß had completed one contract in West Street, and -would:, oommence another in a few days, and Mr W. .Hart had finished his West Street contract. The committee recommended that the Council would direct the overseer to proceed with work in the Papawai Road, as Messn Terry, Baillie, Skeet, and Varnham had offered to assist 'in the' work. .They also recommended the Council to open the road from the [river bed to Fredeiick-Street at the request of Messrs Quia and Walker. The tender of Mr J. Beard, for the erection of three street lamps at JBIG 5s had been accepted, 'and thoy would be erected this week.
