The committee recommended that the Council would direct the overseer to proceed with work in the Papawai Road, as Messn Terry, Baillie, Skeet, and Varnham had offered to assist 'in the' work. .They also recommended the Council to open the road from the [river bed to Fredeiick-Street at the request of Messrs Quia and Walker. The tender of Mr J. Beard, for the erection of three street lamps at JBIG 5s had been accepted, 'and thoy would be erected this week.
