A Fhort time ago we intimated that the Wellington Gas Company soiisht extended powers with a view to establishing gas works in this town andatPalmerston. Mr. G, Beetham, M.H.TL has been requeated to take charge of the Bill which it is necessary for the Company to introduce into the Assembly, and if he finds that it is the wish of residents in this town that he should assist the views of the Company, he will take up the Bill,
