THE GREYTOWN CEMETERY QUESTION.

To the Editor Wairaram Daily Sir,—ln tho Standard of the 2nd instis a milk and water effusion, which I wil' not own, although bearing my nnnio, all tho bones are picked out, leaving a Useless structure. Will you kindly insert in the Daily, to bring before your Greytown readers, what I have written, by duing so you will oblige, complaint Sir.—As yon are aware that I have undertaken voluntarily to obtain funds for the Cemotery Trustees, gratis. Many people wishing to purchase their sections, a question has arisen as to price. ■ I made application to the Chairman about six weeks ago, who promised he would call a meeting that week. At the end of two weeks I called upon him again, when he gave me his private opinion, but had no meeting. Well, I left it in the hands of another trustee for more than three weeks, no go; in the hands of another, no go. Last Monday I camo in contact with another trustee and the Chairman ; the former talked about pulling up fences, and the latter told me 'They could not call a meeting at every one's bidding,' What do you think of that Sir, after fooling me for over six weeks? Does he think that ho has a puppy to play with ! If so he will find himself woefully mistaken. They will have a full-grown cur who cau not only' growl' but' bite hard.' I informed them then to tho end of last week to have a meeting but no longer, And now I say that the harvest is past and the summer ended. Now, Sir, I have seen in the Standard, whilst I have been waiting, the Carterton Oeme'ery Trustee.' have had three meetings; they have the right mon in tho right place. Whilst at Greytown it is, alas, vice versa. I shall for the last time visit those who have promised but not paid, after which all unpaid I shall Btr 'ke off the list, hand it in, and give them up as a hopeless tose, and give my account through you to the public, according to promise. Enough, Pro tern. I Bnij &„ Greytown, May 8,1882, John Hall.
